Terms of Use
Last updated: —
These are the ground rules for using fizzsquad.com. By using the site you agree to them. They're written in plain English on purpose.
1. The site, in short
Fizz Squad publishes seltzer reviews — some written by our team, some submitted by visitors. Reviews include subjective ratings and bubble-profile breakdowns. Everything is opinion, not fact.
2. Using the site
You can read, share, screenshot, like, and compare reviews freely. You can submit your own reviews via the submission form.
You agree not to:
- Submit fake, automated, or spammy reviews
- Submit reviews that are defamatory, harassing, or unlawful
- Try to game the like / compare counts via scripts or multiple accounts
- Scrape or copy the site's content for republication without permission
- Attempt to hack, overload, or otherwise mess with the site's infrastructure
We reserve the right to remove submissions and block visitors at our discretion.
3. Reviews you submit
When you submit a review, you grant us permission to publish it on Fizz Squad and any associated channels (e.g. social media, newsletter). You keep ownership of your words.
We may edit submissions for clarity, length, or style. We may decline to publish anything for any reason. We may remove a published review at any time.
Don't submit anything you don't have the right to share — for example, content copied from another site or someone else's review verbatim.
4. Accuracy & opinion
Squad scores, bubble-profile vectors, taste descriptions — all of it is subjective opinion based on our (and contributors') tastebuds at a particular moment. Your experience may differ. Brands may reformulate. Cans get old. Don't make life decisions based on a 7.4 vs a 7.6.
We try to keep brand names, packaging info, and ingredient claims accurate, but we're not a regulatory body. Always check the actual product label.
5. Affiliate links & shopping
If we link to retailers (e.g. Amazon, Costco), some of those links may earn Fizz Squad a small commission at no extra cost to you. This never affects our ratings or which reviews we publish. We'll always disclose affiliate relationships clearly when they exist.
Our future merch shop will be operated by a third-party fulfillment partner. Their terms will apply to any purchases made there.
6. Trademarks & brand names
Brand names mentioned (LaCroix, Spindrift, Topo Chico, etc.) belong to their respective owners. Fizz Squad is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any seltzer brand. Use of brand names is for review and editorial purposes under fair use.
7. Disclaimers
The site is provided "as is." We make no warranties — express or implied — about accuracy, availability, fitness for any purpose, or that the site will be free from bugs, downtime, or interruptions. Sometimes the server goes down. Sometimes a review has a typo. We try our best.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Fizz Squad and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site or any reviews on it. Our maximum total liability for anything related to this site is $50 USD. Yes, fifty dollars.
9. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and how we use it.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms occasionally. The "last updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent change. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept them.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of the state where the site operator resides.
